Description
Based on a section of Tolstoy's War and Peace, this musical extravaganza follows the story of Natasha, a young woman who arrives in Moscow longing for her fiance; and Pierre, a middle aged man full of regrets. Expect to find the Ashby Stage transformed with cabaret tables, Russian vodka, and an unforgettable theatrical experience. Nominated for twelve Tony awards!

Waitlist for Sold-out Shows!
We offer an in-person waitlist starting one hour before every show. Waitlist spots can be reserved in-person only, and not over the phone or by email. Please note that the wait list is first come, first served, and starts one hour before the performance. When you arrive in the lobby, check in with the box office to get on the list. At showtime, we will be able to determine if there are seats available. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee you a ticket, BUT it does guarantee you a chance!
Masked Matinées
Thursday, February 23
In accordance with guidelines provided by the State of California and the City of Berkeley, at this time masking is encouraged but not required. It also means that proof of vaccination checks are no longer required to see a performance. We understand that there are some theatergoers who are only comfortable gathering in large groups with masks. To make our performances accessible to as many people as possible, we will offer an additional "Masked Matinée" performance on Thursday, February 23. Food and drink from our concessions can be enjoyed outside, but eating or drinking inside the theater is not allowed during this performance, and audience members will be required to wear a mask at all times inside the theater.
