SUPPORT THE MAKE A DIFFERENCE PROGRAM
If you find yourself in a position to help support our MAD Program initiatives, please consider a donation. Shotgun Players began as a group of young folks doing what they loved, and, after all of the opportunities we’ve received throughout our existence, we’re paying it forward! Help us support the next generation and keep the Make A Difference program going strong for many years to come.
All donations to Shotgun Players are tax deductible. Our nonprofit tax ID number is 94-3265879.
MEET THE MAD PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Hi! My name is Alejandra, and you can refer to me as Alejandra, Alé, they/elle, AND Shotgun's MAD Coordinator! I have been a theater artist based here on Huichin, Ohlone land, for many years now and hailing from Tongva land.
I moved to the Bay Area in 2015, attended Shotgun’s unforgettable production of Eurydice, and I was hooked from that moment—I couldn’t wait to see every Shotgun show! Becoming a MAD subscriber connected me with other young theater-goers, artists, and the broader Bay Area theater community, all while being able to see incredible productions at such a good price! (Truly, it was incredible. I felt so cool...or rather it IS still so cool)
Since then I have been fortunate enough to perform in Shotgun’s (trans)formada, part of the 2023 Champagne Staged Reading Series, as well as work at other theaters, including American Conservatory Theater, Z Space, Berkeley Rep, Z Space, Cal Shakes, Crowded Fire, Town Hall Theater, Marin Shakes, TheatreFIRST and the Bay Area Women's Theater Festival.
Stepping into the role of Shotgun’s MAD Coordinator feels like a full-circle moment, and I couldn’t be more honored to serve this incredible community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions about the MAD Program, the Champagne Staged Reading Series, or any Bay Area theater questions honestly—I’m here for it all!
