We are so excited to welcome you to the Ashby Stage!

We commit to doing everything we can to keep our audiences, artists, and staff as safe as possible. As always, if you have questions, contact our box office at boxoffice@shotgunplayers.org or 510.841.6500 ext. 303.

Our COVID-19 policy is in accordance with guidelines provided by the State of California and City of Berkeley. At this time this means that masking is encouraged but not required. It also means that proof of vaccination checks are no longer required to see a performance. These policies will be updated if city guidelines change.

All Shotgun performers and staff are fully vaccinated and performers receive regular weekly testing. While masks are optional at this time, we support every individual’s choice to wear a mask while enjoying the performance. Our theater has a new air filtration system, including a Reme HALO-LED ionized hydro-peroxide air cleaner. For the safety of our community and our unmasked performers, we strongly recommend that all eligible patrons receive their Covid-19 vaccine and booster shots.

Masked Matinées

  • We understand that there are some theatergoers who are only comfortable gathering in large groups with masks. To make our performances accessible to as many people as possible, we will have three "Masked Matinée" performances at 5pm on Sunday, November 27, Sunday, December 18, & Sunday, January 8 where all audience members will be required to wear facemasks. Food and drink will still be available at our concessions, but will need to be enjoyed outside, as there will be no eating or drinking inside the theater during these performances.

Live-Streamed Performances:

  • Can’t make it to the theater? Join us for our live-streamed performances on Thursday, November 17 & Thursday, December 1, 2022. Book your tickets on Overture+

Ticket Exchanges:

  • If you are sick, you can reach out to our Box Office to have your ticket rescheduled to another night or live stream at no additional cost.

Informing patrons about policy changes:

We are constantly learning new information about COVID-19 and public health & safety. This page will be continually updated with our most current policies.

In the event that we need to change our policies during the run of a show, all ticket holders will be alerted by email at the earliest opportunity.
