Join us for pizza (with gluten-free options), pasta, beer, wine (provided by Kermit Lynch), and specialty cocktails in the Subterranean Theater. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for our Make a Difference Program, dress up in our favorite 1990s fashion, and HAVE FUN!
WE'RE GOING BACK TO WHERE WE STARTED! Back in 1992, Shotgun Players got its start at the Subterranean Theater in the basement of La Val's Pizza. In exchange for managing the space, our company was given free rehearsal time for our plays. This exchange allowed our company to grow. And years later, this act of generosity was the inspiration for our Make a Difference (MAD) Program, which supports the next generation of artists and audiences!
Over the last 10 years we have welcomed over 40 emerging artists to our MAD Fellowships and have sold over 8,000 discounted MAD tickets to those 25 and under! Let's keep the momentum going!
Sassafras 2024 returns to our roots - to celebrate how far we've come, and look forward to the future of theater in our community. Come see where the magic started!
