Live streamed audio described performance

We are offering a live audio described performance on April 11. Rachael Dichter of Gravity Access will be providing live audio description for our blind and visually impaired audience members. The audio description will happen concurrently with the live Zoom performance.

Audio description for the April 11 performance will be available when the show starts. Audio instructions for access will be provided at the beginning of the show. Then patrons will be able to click the “interpretation“ button at the bottom of the Zoom screen and select “audio description.”

We recommend using a computer for the best experience. However, if you are joining us from a phone, you can select “more,” then “language interpretation,” and then “audio description”.

Zoom supports common screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Android Talkback.

Patrons can listen to audio descriptions of the performing cast prior to the performance.

On demand audio described and closed captioned performances

Closed captioned and audio described recordings of Feel the Spirit will be available on Overture from April 14 to May 2.

Both performances will be available on a pay-what-you-can basis. If you purchased tickets to a live performance but prefer the captioned or audio described recording, email us at boxoffice@shotgunplayers.org and we're happy to provide the recording at no additional cost to you.
