DAYLIGHTING: THE BERKELEY STORIES PROJECT
There ain't no one Berkeley.
May 21 - June 22, 2014

Meet Bee, a young woman who must decide her fate on a dusk to dawn walk across Berkeley. Travelling from a graduation party in the hills home to her grandfather James in the flats, Bee journeys through Berkeley's history and her own, encountering strangers and old friends who help her face her future. We've gathered tales from every corner of town, and playwright Dan Wolf used these real-life stories in this exploration of the layered history of Berkeley and one young woman poised between the past and the rest of her life.

Daylighting runs ninety minutes, with no intermission. There will be non-toxic herbal cigarettes and adult language during this production.

"A valentine to the city that has long been a safe haven for dreamers, radicals and bohemians of all stripes."
Karen D'Souza, San Jose Mercury News

"Wolf wisely chooses to stick with telling the stories of a few characters, and lets their experiences of this colorful city demonstrate some of its diversity."
- Jonathan Bender, Berkeley Times
