COME JOIN THE TEAM

Shotgun Players is a company of artists determined to create bold, relevant, affordable theater that inspires and challenges audiences and artists alike to re-examine our lives, our community, and the ever-changing world around us. We are committed to a welcoming and inclusive work culture and audience experience where everyone who walks through our doors feels a deep sense of belonging. We center our values in all that we do and hold ourselves accountable with rigorous, comprehensive, and regular reviews of policies, procedures, and staff. Getting it “right” is not a box we can check. It’s a daily practice and we are all here for that journey!

Now in our 33rd season, Shotgun is looking for a Marketing & Communications Director, and production and design artists for our 2025 season and beyond.

We believe assembling a great team to tell the story is equally as important as selecting a great story. Shotgun Players has achieved national recognition and thrived for over 33 years because we’ve been able to attract some of the most talented, thoughtful, and courageous collaborators in the Bay Area. Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists and artists of other underrepresented identities are encouraged to apply. In line with our commitment to “shift the spotlight,” our goal is to hire over 50% BIPOC in our seasonal hires of artistic, technical, stage management teams, as well as permanent administrative positions until BIPOC workers’ representation at our organization matches their percentage in the local labor force (Alameda County).
