Eve / Nicole – Late 30s–40s – Female Identifying
Eve: An ecologist / Nicole: an international movie star. Type A, precise, sharp-witted, and dry. Carries diva energy but is always funny and oddly endearing. Someone we can’t help but love, even when she’s impossible.
Ana / Lily- Early 20s – Female Identifying- Nigerian
Ana: one of the top climatologists in the U.S. / Lily: Nigerian-British, fresh out of RADA Reads young, grounded, and whip-smart. Dry humor and intellect make her a formidable presence beyond her years.
George / Jake – 30s – Male Identifying
George is the quintessential bad boy / Jake desperately wishes he were. Attractive, from any background, a closeted gay man from Texas. Unintentionally hilarious, though he has no idea how funny he actually is.
David – 40s–50s – Male Identifying
A writer who is somehow both too tan and too fit for the job. Tired but tirelessly working. Brilliant yet approachable. Warm-hearted, funny, and loving, someone whose intelligence doesn’t overshadow his humanity.
Maria 30s – Female Identifying
A first-time studio film director who’s been grinding in the industry for 25 years without a “big break.” Smart, ambitious, and career-focused, yet weathered by years of setbacks. Inspired, and still chasing the vision that keeps her going.
Larry – 60s – Male Identifying
The science advisor, a climatologist to his core. Nerdy, deeply dedicated, and often lost in his own intelligent world. Brings gravitas while unintentionally slipping into comic eccentricity.
The PA – Any Age / Any Identity
The unsung hero—working endlessly to make everyone else’s life easier, though they’re barely noticed. Doing the job of 20 people with little credit, running on equal parts grit and caffeine.
The Grip / Others – Any Age / Any Identity
The crew: a grip, the first AD, the sound guy, the camera operator, the DP—anyone and everyone behind the scenes. Defined by their hunger (literal and professional) and by their constant presence as shadows to the director. Funny in their unfiltered, rough-around-the-edges way.
Iphigenia in Splott
Iphigenia in Splott
By Gary Owen
Directed by Michelle Talgarow
Auditions TBD | Callbacks TBD
Iphigenia in Splott:
She’s brash, reckless, and unapologetically self-possessed. Stumbling through life in the nowhere town of Splott, Effie – short for Iphigenia – numbs her days with hookups and hangovers. Life on the edge turns into a face-off with reality and its wrenching consequences. Inspired by the Euripidean Iphigenia in Aulis, this epic story is brutally honest, piercing, terrible, and tender, sometimes all at the same time.

Sam & Eddie – 70s or older – Any Gender Identity
Two people discovering love later in life. Think Jewish grandparents with bite: witty, sarcastic, full of edge, yet deeply warm. They’ve fought in revolutions, lived through decades of change, and still carry that spark of rebellion. Singing is essential, and it’s a bonus if one of them can play piano.
Ensemble – Any Age / Any Identity – A bold, movement-driven collective. The ensemble creates the world through devised storytelling—fluid, physical, and alive. Expect intergenerational pairings, romantic sparks, polyamorous clusters, and a charge of raw sensuality. Performers should be comfortable with intimacy, explicit sexuality, and fearless physical expression. Passion, play, and chemistry are key.
THE DEATH OF MEYERHOLD
The Death of Meyerhorld
Written and directed by Mark Jackson
Pay: $19.80/hr
Auditions TBD | Callbacks TBD
“Our country has a fever. We must look to it!”
A revolution is on the march across our country. But whose revolution is it? We’re told it’s great—while artists and journalists are canceled for telling the truth. We’re told it’s about justice—while our friends, neighbors, and co-workers are disappeared in plain sight. Where are we—Soviet Russia? The story of maverick theater artist Vsevolod Meyerhold and his era is surprisingly like the story unfolding on our streets today. Meyerhold’s fight for freedom in turbulent times is our fight.
